West Ham ace Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media today ahead of his side’s clash with Manchester United on Sunday, and suggested that Manuel Lanzini is a doubt for the game, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Argentine missed a large chunk of last season through injury, but he seems to have returned back to somewhere near his best.
He is a vital player for the Hammers. His creativity and guile in the final third makes such a huge difference to the way in which the east London outfit go about their business.
West Ham might be missing the mercurial attacking midfielder against the Red Devils on Sunday, however.
Pellegrini sat down for his pre-match press conference today. And suggested that Lanzini is a doubt for the Hammers, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“Manuel Lanzini also has a problem that we will review tomorrow before the game.”
West Ham do have plenty of other attacking midfielders who can fill in for the Argentine, however.
The likes of Jack Wilshere and Pablo Fornals will be pushing for a start.
Having said that, West Ham fans will still be hoping that Lanzini is declared fit on Sunday.
He is their talisman. And with him in the side, they are a much better team.
