West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media today, and stated that Manuel Lanzini is already back involved with first-team training, as quoted by Football.London.

The Argentine aggravated a foot injury that he picked up whilst on international duty against Aston Villa 11 days ago.

He subsequently missed last weekend’s win over Manchester United, and was ruled out for around a month at the time, according to Football.London.

That now appears like it will be somewhat off the mark, however.

Pellegrini spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference today, and claimed that Lanzini, 26, is already back involved with first-team training, as quoted by Football London:

“Manuel [Lanzini] has returned to work with the team. The rest of the players are OK.”

The Argentine, who earns £70,000 per week according to Spotrac, is so important to West Ham. He makes them tick. And they’re a much better side when he is in the team.

Having him back sooner than originally thought will be a huge boost for the Hammers.

And it seems as though that will now be the case.

Pellegrini will be wary of rushing the South American back too quickly, however. It has backfired in the past. Most recently against Villa. And the Chilean will conscious of not making the same mistake again.
