Neil Warnock absolutely raved about West Ham ace Michail Antonio, when speaking on Sky Sports’ Gillette Soccer Saturday programme today (Saturday February 29th, 14:49).

The 29-year-old has made a huge difference for the Hammers since returning to the team in December.

He offers David Moyes’s side something that they do not otherwise possess, what with his pace, power and energy in the final third.

Antonio had another great game today against Southampton. He was a constant menace and offered his side a real physical presence up front.

The 29-year-old, who earns £70,000 per week according to Spotrac, is a real fan favourite at the London Stadium. And if he keeps up his fine form, West Ham will have a great chance of avoiding relegation this season.

Neil Warnock is a big fan of the Hammers ace. The former Cardiff City boss offered high words of praise for Antonio, when speaking to Sky Sports’ Gillette Soccer Saturday programme:

“I just think they need to keep Antonio fit. If they had two Antonios in the side, they would be safe by now. I thought he was super the other night, the effort he put in, and he’s always going to be a threat.”

Antonio is arguably West Ham’s most important player. Keeping him fit between now and May will be of paramount importance to the Hammers’ hopes of avoiding the drop.

The West Ham fans will be happy tonight for the first time in a very long time.

And it will please them to hear Warnock praise one of their players, considering the history between the ex-manager and the east London outfit.
