This season has not been good by anyone’s standards, it’s definitely one to forget apart from maybe Adrian being introduced to the team and now the 3 wins over spurs. For next season I think there are certain things to look out for that I hope let us have a better season.
A new manager obviously we don’t know what way the board are going to go when it comes to keeping Sam or not but let’s hope they make the right decision. Of course there is a risk having a new manager and most people will say it’s because Sam can keep teams in the league but in reality we’ve been round the relegation zone all season and we’re lucky there are slightly worse teams.
A better home record is needed, normally our away performances are really bad but the home form saves us, it’s been slightly different this season at home we’ve struggled, putting in so many poor performances Manchester United and Stoke stick out as two of the worst but we’ve got some really good results away. Next season they have to perform better at Upton Park, we only have 2 seasons left now.
In terms of players next season, it will be great to see Adrian get a full season with the club and of course a big aim will to keep more players fit because injuries this season have been awful. I would also love to see the club bring through some of our under 21 players through, the 3 I hope start to make first team appearances are Elliot Lee, once he’s back from injury, he’s a different striker that hopefully has a long term future with the club. Matthias Fanimo and Sebastian Lletget are the other two, midfield is certainly an area that needs improving alongside Noble so I think it would be a positive move for the club to bring these 2 into the first team.
