It has been a busy transfer window for Manuel Pellegrini and West Ham and the club’s business does not look to be done yet.

Early, decisive deals have been the order of the day at the London Stadium for much of the summer, but Pellegrini has remained in the market right until the very last.

So, with the closure of the transfer window just hours away, what can Hammers fans still expect to happen? We’ve put together a round-up…

After a summer of speculation linking him with a return to Sampdoria, Pellegrini has decided he wants to keep Pedro Obiang in east London, according to Football.London.

There does not look to be much else on the cards in terms of departures, with much of the focus on who else Pellegrini can get through the door to boost his hopes of an assault on the top ten.

The two names that have been in the melting pot for a number of days now are Lucas Perez and Carlos Sanchez, and the Evening Standard report that both deals will get over the line before 5pm.

In terms of newer names, the Telegraph report that the Hammers are interested in battling Crystal Palace and Leicester City for the signature of Danny Drinkwater to boost their midfield options.

The arrival of Mateo Kovacic at Stamford Bridge will surely only push the 2015/16 title winner closer to the exit door, but fending off his former club may be tricky.

The most surprising name banded around as Pellegrini looks to replace Jordan Hugill, who has moved to Middlesbrough on loan, is Tottenham’s Fernando Llorente.

The Mail report that a last minute deal is on the cards and Spurs would be willing to let him leave in either on loan or a permanent basis. One to keep an eye on…
