West Ham skipper Mark Noble explained how he and other senior members of the squad are trying to help Jarrod Bowen settle in as quickly as possible, when writing his regular column for the Evening Standard.

The 23-year-old joined the Hammers from Hull City on transfer deadline day in January for around £22 million (The Guardian).

And Bowen has hit the ground running at the London Stadium.

The former Hull man really impressed during his home debut against Southampton at the London Stadium last weekend.

He scored West Ham’s opening goal, and didn’t stop working for the entirety of the 90 minutes.

Bowen seems like he is a very down to earth and well grounded young man.

And Noble told the Evening Standard how he, along with Robert Snodgrass and Aaron Cresswell, is all helping the 23-year-old settle down quickly in east London:

“Jarrod is a quiet boy but — as you can perhaps imagine — myself, Aaron Cresswell and Robert Snodgrass haven’t left him alone. That’s just part and parcel of being a new boy at this club and it’s a test of his character.”

West Ham need Bowen to be at his very best between now and the end of the campaign.

If he can replicate the form he showed for Hull during the last 10 games of the season, the Hammers will stand a great chance of avoiding relegation.

The 23-year-old’s tenacity, aggression and work-rate will certainly stand him and his team in good stead as West Ham head into the final straight.
