Mark Noble spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s fine 2-0 win over Norwich City, and shared what he warned his teammates about ahead of the game.
The Hammers have now taken seven points from their opening four Premier League games, and they are sitting pretty in seventh spot in the table heading into the two-week international break.
West Ham spent heavily during the summer transfer window. And their fans will be expecting great things this season.
A top seven finish will surely be their target, and as things stand, that seems to be well attainable.
The east London outfit look strong all over the pitch, and it seems as though all of the players are finally pulling in the same direction.
Noble spoke to the club’s official website, and shared how he told his teammates that he was unhappy with how open they were against Watford heading into the Norwich clash:
“The last two [Premier League] games we’ve played extremely well, especially going forward, but I said to the players in the week that we were really good in attack at Watford but we left ourselves open at times. I didn’t like that, but today we were solid. We really limited them to a couple of half chances and we should have scored six or seven ourselves.”
Next up for West Ham is a trip to Aston Villa on Monday Night Football in two weeks time.
And if the Hammers are to achieve European qualification this season, those are the type of games that they really do need to be winning.
