West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini conformed that Javier Hernandez has recored from his knee injury, when speaking to reporters during his pre-match press conference today.

The Mexican has missed the Hammers’ last two games, after scoring against Brighton just under two weeks ago.

So having him back and available for selection will be a big boost for Pellegrini.

Next up for the Hammers is a home game against in-form Norwich City on Saturday, and they will be desperate to head into the two-week international break with a victory at the London Stadium.

After an inauspicious start against Manchester City three weeks ago, West Ham have really steadied the ship, taking four points from two Premier League games, and progressing through to the next round of the Carabao Cup after beating Newport County 2-0.

Norwich will represent a different challenge all together, however.

The Hammers will need all of their attacking players to be on tip-top form.

And Pellegrini told reporters how Javier Hernandez should be back and available for selection, as quoted by Football.London:

“Javier Hernandez has recovered from his small knee injury last week.”

Hernandez has never quite lived up to expectations at West Ham.

He still has the kind of quality that could make a real difference for the Hammers, however.

And at the very least, he will provide Pellegrini with another option in the final third when his side welcome Norwich to the London Stadium on Saturday.
