West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference today, and suggested that he expects to see more from Sebastien Haller, as quoted by Football.London.

The 25-year-old joined the Hammers from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer for £45 million.

And that hefty price-tag has undoubtedly piled the pressure onto Haller’s shoulders.

He has made a decent start to life in east London, scoring four goals in eight Premier League appearances thus far.

Haller has been impressive with his hold-up and link-up play, and he will surely go on to become a real hit at West Ham.

Pellegrini suggested that he expects to see more from the Frenchman, however, when speaking to reporters today, as quoted by Football.London:

“He has not done bad but he can do better also. He has started better, now he must make more movements inside the box because we need to score more goals.”

Next up for West Ham is a home game against Sheffield United on Saturday. And if they are to beat Chris Wilder’s resolute side, Haller will need to be on his best form.

He has made a fairly impressive start to his Hammers career, but as Pellegrini says, he undoubtedly still has a lot more to offer.
