West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini spoke to reporters after Saturday’s win over Norwich City, and absolutely raved about Sebastien Haller’s quality.
The 25-year-old joined the Hammers from Eintracht Frankfurt in July for around £45 million, according to BBC Sport.
And the Frenchman has racked up three goals in three appearances for West Ham thus far.
Haller really does look like the real deal.
It is the first time in a very long time that the Hammers have a truly elite centre-forward who they can build their attacking play through.
And the 25-year-old has already shown what an asset he could be for the east London outfit.
Pellegrini spoke to reporters, and shared how he believes that Haller is the complete player, as quoted by West Ham’s official website:
“Haller is a complete player because he is not just in the box. He scores a lot of goals, but he works a lot for the team. He holds the ball from our long goal kicks, he works hard, he prepares the moments for other players. We are seeing a complete player who will continue improving with every game.”
Haller, who earns £120,000 per week at West Ham according to Forbes, will be delighted with the start that he’s made in east London.
He will surely only keep getting better. And that must be a really exciting prospect for Hammers fans.
The 25-year-old will have a chance to add to his tally when West Ham head to Aston Villa for Monday Night Football in two weeks time.
