West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini absolutely raved about Lukasz Fabianski, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, suggesting that he is one of the best in his specific position in the Premier League.

The 34-year-old joined the Hammers from Swansea City in the summer of 2018 for around £7 million, according to BBC Sport.

And what a terrific addition he has proven to be for the east London outfit.

Fabianski, who earns £65,000 per week according to Spotrac, made more saves than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League last season. And he has racked up three consecutive clean sheets in his last three games for West Ham.

Pellegrini spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and offered high words of praise for the experienced Polish stopper:

“I think maybe, last season, he was one of the best goalkeepers. If not the best, then one of the best goalkeepers. This season, he is continuing with the same performance. He is a serious player that works very hard in every training session. I think last season he was one of the two or three best goalkeepers in the league. I hope, at the end of this season, we can say exactly the same for him”

It is not an exaggeration to say that Fabianski is one of the league’s best goalkeepers. He is unflappable, authoritative, and leads by example.

The £7 million that the Hammers paid for him now looks like an absolute bargain.

And if West Ham are to finish inside the top four, they will need him to be at his very best for the remainder of the campaign.
