West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media today during his pre-match press conference, and raved about the quality of Andriy Yarmolenko, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The 29-year-old has been in fine form this season, having missed the majority of last term through injury.

The Ukraine international has racked up three goals in six Premier League outings thus far, and he seems to be back to his very best.

West Ham are aiming for a top six finish this season. And if Yarmolenko maintains his current form, they will have every chance of doing just that.

Pellegrini spoke to reporters today, and suggested that the attacker is now showing the form that he expected when he signed him 16 months ago, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“He is playing in the way we expected when we bought him. Last year he was playing well against big teams also, but he had that bad injury. He is returning well and keeps playing well.”

Yarmolenko’s return to form so quickly after coming back from a serious injury really has been very impressive. He will undoubtedly be a huge asset for West Ham this season.

And as long as he stays fit, the Premier League will surely now see the best of the Ukrainian over the next few years.
