Manuel Pellegrini must play with two strikers against Southampton

West Ham fans have had enough of Manuel Pellegrini.

His steadfast refusal to mix things up is infuriating the Hammers faithful.

The straw that broke the camel’s back was on Monday night when the Chilean opted to play one up front…AGAIN.

West Ham were facing a fragile Arsenal side, and Pellegrini should have gone for the jugular by playing two up front.

Of course the Chilean chose not to, and the Hammers eventually lost the game 3-1.

And if the 66-year-old again opts for just one up front against Southampton today, it could end up costing him his job.

It would also prove just how out of touch he is with the West Ham fans.

The Hammers need to win today at Southampton, and at the very least, they need to show something different.

West Ham should not be struggling like they are, and the blame must lie at Pellegrin’s feet.

The Chilean has proven in recent weeks and months that he is unwilling to change. Everyone can see what’s wrong with the Hammers’ setup apart from him. And it really is quite baffling.

Will he make the same mistake again away at Southampton today? If he does, it could be the last error he makes as West Ham boss.
