Manuel Lanzini singled out five West Ham players for praise, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website today.
The Hammers have an incredibly strong squad this season, and they are expected to make a real push for the top six.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side currently sit in fifth spot in the Premier League table. They have taken 12 points from their opening seven league games. And a win against Crystal Palace on Saturday would put them in a great position heading into the two-week international break.
Lanzini has played a key role for West Ham this season. He is arguably the Hammers’ most creative player, and without him they are quite simply not the same team.
The Argentine credits others for his side’s fine start to the campaign. He named five West Ham players who he loves playing alongside, when speaking to WHUFC.com:
“It’s great playing with the likes of Seb, Felipe and Andriy. It’s easy as well when you have good players around you. You also have [Pablo] Fornals and Michail [Antonio], who is out at the moment. Having those good players is good for us. There’s more competition and it’s more difficult to get into the team.”
With so much attacking talent currently present at the London Stadium, the Hammers will be an incredibly exciting team to watch this season.
And if they defend to a high standard, there is no reason why they can’t finish inside the top six this season.
