Jean-Clair Todibo could be finished at West Ham already with England international mooted for Hammers move

West Ham united signed Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice in the summer transfer window.

The arrival of Jean-Clair Todibo at the London Stadium was viewed as a real coup for West Ham at the time.

However, it’s starting to look like he simply doesn’t want to be here, and a recent spat with Julen Lopetegui certainly hasn’t helped things.

It was actually claimed last month that Todibo was ‘forced’ into joining the Hammers in the summer.

The 24-year-old was apparently desperate to move to Juventus from Nice instead.

He hasn’t looked that great at all aside from the odd decent performance, since joining West Ham.

And I believe that the club could look to cash in on him already.

The Frenchman’s loan move will become permanent in the summer.

So the Hammers may well not be able to sell him until then.

However, I believe that West Ham are already looking for replacements for the problematic centre-back.

Fikayo Tomori is a target for the Hammers according to a report from Calcio Mercato, and we apparently could sign him for just £25 million.

That would represent unbelievably good value in this day and age.

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move to sign Tomori, both during his Chelsea days and since he joined AC Milan.

The 26-year-old centre-back is a top-class player, and it goes without saying that he’d be a big upgrade on Konstantinos Mavropanos.

I believe he’s a better centre-back than Todibo as well.

Tomori has been one of the standout centre-backs in Serie A over the past three years or so.

The former Chelsea man is incredibly strong in the air, and possesses decent pace. He’s an intelligent defender and his positional awareness is absolutely spot on.

I think Jean-Clair Todibo won’t be at West Ham for the start of the 2025/26 season, and Tomori would be a superb replacement for him – an upgrade on the Frenchman even.
