West Ham insider Claret and Hugh has today claimed that he has spoken to a potential candidate for the West Ham manager’s job, and that the unnamed boss highlighted the lack of power and pace at the club as a major issue.
Manuel Pellegrini is currently holding on by his fingernails in his role as Hammers boss.
The Chilean has overseen a run of just one win in 10 Premier League games, and West Ham have fallen down to 16th spot in the table, only one point clear of the drop zone.
The Hammers have been playing some really bland stuff too. Something that isn’t helping Pellegrini’s cause whatsoever.
It is the Chilean’s lack of in-game management and tactical awareness that is really concerning the West Ham fans.
And Claret and Hugh shared what a potential candidate to take over from Pellegrini told him today about a big problem that will face whoever is handed the reigns at West Ham, if the 66-year-old is in fact moved on:
“That’s (lack of power and pace) gonna be a real problem for whoever it might be.”
The unnamed manager, who has allegedly played against teams managed by Pellegrini in the past, also questioned the lack of passion at West Ham:
“They need unity in the dressing room, passion on the training pitch and a determination to defend for their lives. Do they have any of that? Doesn’t look like it.”
If the Hammers lose at Southampton, it will surely be curtains for Pellegrini. In truth, he should already be gone.
Time is running out for the Chilean. And many West Ham fans will agree that the sooner he is axed the better.
