Diafra Sakho was somewhat of a cult hero at West Ham.
The 29-year-old joined the Hammers from Metz in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth £3.5m (Soccerbase).
He went on to score 24 goals in 71 appearances for West Ham, and he was a real fan favourite.
Unfortunately for Sakho, things turned rather sour a couple of years ago, as he was often left out of the team by then manager Slaven Bilic.
The Senegalese ace was moved on in January 2018, with Ligue 1 side Rennes paying £4.5 million (Soccerbase) to prise him away from the London Stadium.
So how has Sakho got on since leaving West Ham?
The striker has not actually made an appearance yet this season.
And he has hardly set the world alight in France.
Sakho racked up just three goals in 16 appearances for Rennes, before being moved out on loan to Bursaspor for the season in the summer of 2018.
And he experienced similar problems in Turkey, with just three goals and an assist in 20 games to his name.
He is still 29, so he has plenty of years left ahead of him. But his form in France and Turkey has hardly been inspiring.
And bearing that in mind, £4.5 million is now looking like very good business from West Ham.
