Harry Redknapp raved about Jarrod Bowen, when speaking to The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show on TalkSport yesterday (31/01/20 at 9:15 am), suggesting that the new West Ham signing is going to be a really good player for the east London outfit.
The 23-year-old joined the Hammers for around £22 million late last night (Sky Sports) after protracted contract negotiations.
Bowen racked up an incredible 16 goals and seven assists for Hull City in the Championship this season (Who Scored).
The pacy winger has actually been incredibly consistent for the Tigers since moving to the KCOM Stadium from Hereford on a free transfer in 2014.
He scored 54 goals and registered 14 assists in 131 appearances for Hull (Transfermarkt), and if he can continue that kind of form in the Premier League, West Ham will have secured themselves an absolute bargain.
Redknapp suggested that Bowen will prove to be a great signing for the Hammers, when speaking to The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show on TalkSport yesterday (31/01/20 at 9:15 am):
“Oh, I like him [Bowen], oh my god. I watched him against Chelsea last week and I like him. He scores goals off that wing. And I think he’s going to be a real good player for West Ham.”
Bowen was not registered in time to play against Brighton today. But his arrival at the London Stadium will surely give everyone involved with the club a boost ahead of what is such a hugely important game this afternoon.
And the 23-year-old might just prove to be the difference between relegation and survival for West Ham this season.
