West ham defender Winston Reid has signed a new deal following an impeccable season in the Hammer’s first season back in the premier League since relegation two years ago.
The 24 year old centre back joined West ham in the summer of 2012 and has made 33 league appearances scoring one goal.
Reid has been brilliant for the Hammer’s this season showing promising glimpses of a bright future with excellent interceptions and last ditch tackles that have helped boost the Premier League outfit up to 10th in the current campaign.
The new deal should see the New Zealand captain a Hammers player up until the summer of 2015; something the Hammers faithful are happy to see.
Reid is set to win the Hammer of the year award after stunning supporters in the past season after he made a shock learning curve. The defender was once a weak point in the West ham team but is now the   first name on the team sheet, and has expressed his delight at being a West Ham player, stating to the official West Ham TV “I’ve really enjoyed being here”.
