ExWHUemployee claimed that West Ham ace Andriy Yarmolenko is actually available for selection for Saturday’s clash with Arsenal at the Emirates, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Thursday March 4th).

Football.London claimed yesterday that the 30-year-old could be set for a return against Wolves on March 15th.

The 86-capped Ukraine international has been out injured since mid December. And he has only made 15 Premier League appearances for the Hammers this season.

In those outings for West Ham, Yarmolenko has racked up three goals and one assist (Transfermarkt) but all of those came inside the first two months of the season.

On his day, the Ukrainian is a top class player. And if the 30-year-old is fully fit and firing, he could still be a vital player for David Moyes between now and the end of the season.

ExWHUemployee claimed on the West Ham Way podcast last night that Yarmolenko might actually be available for the Arsenal game, contrary to yesterday’s report:

“Yarmolenko is probably going to be available for the game at the weekend if we need him. Whether he’ll get on the benchI don’t know, but he is available.”

Even if the Ukraine international is ready to return, there is no way that he will start the game at the Emirates. And it’s debatable that he will even be needed on the bench.

Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen and Sebastien Haller will probably start the game in attack. And with Felipe Anderson and Robert Snodgrass in reserve, David Moyes will probably not feel the need to rush Yarmolenko back.
