Kevin Nolan was brought in on the West Ham coaching staff earlier this month, and reliable Hammers insider ExWHUemployee has claimed that the 37-year-old has already made a big impact at the club.
David Moyes was appointed as the new West Ham manager on December 29th, and immediately brought in Alan Irvine as his assistant.
But the duo worked for more than a month without any other coaching staff, before Nolan and Paul Nevin were added to the backroom team in early February.
The Hammers are currently in all sorts of bother. And having someone like Nolan around the place will surely help the players rediscover their best form, or their fight and spirit at the very least.
ExWHUemployee has suggested on Twitter that the former West Ham skipper has already made a big impact at the club:
The Hammers face Manchester City away next tomorrow night, before heading to Liverpool the following Monday. So those two games will give a great indication as to how much of an influence Nolan has had already.
Moyes’s men need to pick up some results, and fast.
And hopefully Nolan has really got in and amongst the players, and instilled into them what it means to wear the West Ham shirt. Being a former captain of the club, he knows all about that of course.
