Declan Rice raved about Sebastien Haller, when speaking to reporters on Saturday, suggesting that the Frenchman is the player who West Ham have been missing.

The 25-year-old joined the Hammers from Eintracht Frankfurt for around £45 million in July.

Has he has hit the ground running at the London Stadium.

Haller has already racked up three goals in just three appearances for West Ham, and he looks like the real deal.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt hitman is strong in the air, excellent when playing with his back to goal, and he has great technique for a big man.

He seems to have all of the attributes needed to be a success in the Premier League.

And Rice told West Ham’s official website just how highly he rates the 6ft 3in hitman:

“Seb will be buzzing with that. I thought he was excellent, his hold-up play, he’s strong and it’s what we’ve been missing. We needed a striker like that. We paid big money for him and he’s doing excellent, so I’m delighted for Seb.”

Haller will surely be looking to score at least 20 goals for the Hammers this season.

And if he does just that, there is no reason why West Ham cannot finish inside the top seven in the Premier League table.

He looks like he will be a great addition for the Hammers. And £45 million might end up looking like a real snip.
