Declan Rice has suggested that his West Ham teammate Fabian Balbuena has been absolutely outstanding recently, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website.

The 29-year-old joined the Hammers from Brazilian side Corinthians in the summer of 2018 for around £4 million (Football.London).
The Paraguay international initially impressed at the London Stadium.
The so-called General struggled to replicate that form last season, however. And he slid down the central defensive pecking order at the London Stadium.
So much so that ExWHUemployee claimed on Twitter a couple of months ago that David Moyes doesn’t rate the Paraguayan.
Because of Issa Diop being unavailable for selection over the past couple of weeks, however, Balbuena has forced his way back into the team.
And in fairness to him, he has been really solid, helping the Hammers to two consecutive Premier League clean sheets.
And Declan Rice absolutely raved about Balbuena, when speaking exclusively to WHUFC.com:
“I have to say Fabian Balbuena has had two games in the league now, after being in-and-out last season and he’s not had a run of games, and he’s been outstanding.”
Balbuena’s recent form has certainly been encouraging. And if the 29-year-old manages to rediscover the form that he showed in the 2018/19 campaign on a consistent basis, he could have a key role to play for West Ham this season.
