West Ham ace Declan Rice absolutely raved about Felipe Anderson after Saturday’s win over Norwich City.
The 20-year-old did suggest that the Brazilian should pass to him more, however.
The 26-year-old joined the Hammers from Lazio in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth £41.5 million, according to BBC Sport.
And he has already proven to be a huge hit at the London Stadium.
Anderson has racked up 10 goals and seven assists in 44 appearances in all competitions for West Ham thus far.
And the South American has two assists in four games this term.
He is arguably the Hammers’ most important player.
Rice spoke to reporters on Saturday, and did not hold back when praising the exciting winger, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“Watching Felipe, I just smiled at one point. He was on the wing and he back-heeled it to Seb and I just smiled! He’s top notch and we know the qualities he’s got. He could pass to me a bit more on the edge of the box so I could have a couple of shots! Every time Felipe plays, he has the fans out of their seats and that’s what we expect from him.”
Anderson, who currently earns £85,000 per week according to Spotrac, is a truly elite player. And if West Ham are to finish inside the top seven this season, they will need him to be on his very best form between now and May.
The 26-year-old will undoubtedly be looking to improve upon his return from last season. And considering the way that he has started, there is no reason why he won’t do just that.
