Dean Ashton absolutely raved about West Ham ace Michail Antonio, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website.
The 29-year-old has made a huge difference for the Hammers since returning from injury.
Antonio offers West Ham something that they do not otherwise possess, what with his pace and power.
And if he remains fit between now and the end of the season, the Hammers will have a great chance of avoiding relegation.
When the former Nottingham Forest man is on form, he is unplayable.
And Ashton alluded to that when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website:
“Antonio is an absolute handful and would be an absolute nightmare to play against for any defender because he’s got the pace, he’s raw and he’s as strong as an ox, and I think his end-product is improving season on season as well, which I think is so important.”
Antonio has made 14 Premier League appearances for the Hammers this season. In those outings, the 29-year-old has chipped in with two goals and two assists. He has averaged 2.3 shots, 2.8 dribbles and 0.9 key passes. The powerful attacker has also won an average of 3.4 aerial duals per game during those outings (Who Scored).
The £7 million that West Ham paid for the Englishman has proven to be incredible business for the east London outfit.
And the Hammers must do everything they can to ensure that Antonio remains at the London Stadium for the foreseeable future.
