Both the Hammers and Spurs are in desperate need of a victory.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are winless in six, and they have fallen from fifth place down to 16th spot in the Premier League table.
Jose Mourinho’s men, meanwhile, have taken just three points from their last five league games. And they sit in 14th spot in the table.
The Portuguese took over from Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham manager on Wednesday, so West Ham will be wary of the new manager ‘bounce effect’.
Pellegrini is under intense pressure to turn things around. The Hammers were targeting a European place at the start of the season. But that now just seems like a distant memory.
Spurs have also been a huge disappointment. They were heavily tipped for another top four finish at the start of the campaign. And that now looks like mission impossible.
A draw really will do neither side any good at all. So with both teams looking for the win, it should be a cracking game on display at the London Stadium.
The game kicks off at 12:30 and can be seen exclusively live on BT Sport.
