West Ham welcome Brighton to the London Stadium this afternoon for what will be an undeniable relegation six-pointer.

West Ham starting line-up vs Brighton:

Lukasz Fabianski, Ryan Fredericks, Angelo Ogbonna, Issa Diop, Aaron Cresswell, Mark Noble, Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, Robert Snodgrass, Sebastien Haller, Michail Antonio

The Hammers are currently in all sorts of trouble, and sit in 17th spot in the Premier League table, level on points with 19th placed Watford.

The Seagulls are only two points and two places ahead of the east London outfit, however. So it is clear to see just how important today’s game is for both sides.

Brighton will be no pushovers today. They have played some lovely stuff under the guidance of Graham Potter, and they have a superb record against West Ham, having won three and drawn two of their last five meetings with the Londoners.

The Hammers have not beaten the south coast outfit since 2012, when they were both in the Championship.

Having signed Jarrod Bowen from Hull City just before last night’s transfer deadline, however, there should be a real buzz around the London Stadium today.

And with games away at Manchester City and Liverpool to come next after Brighton, it is absolutely vital that David Moyes’s men take three points from today’s game.
