Charlie Nicholas raved about West Ham ace Michail Antonio, when writing his weekly column for Sky Sports.
The 29-year-old is arguably David Moyes’s most potent weapon. And it is absolutely vital that he remains fit between now and the end of the season.
The Hammers are in real relegation trouble. They are currently sitting outside the relegation zone but only because of a superior goal difference to those in and around them in the table.
And Antonio will be pivotal to their hopes of avoiding the drop this term.
The Englishman joined West Ham from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2015 for around £7 million (BBC).
And he has gone on to establish himself as a firm fan favourite in east London.
Antonio has racked up 30 goals and 21 assists in 144 games for the Hammers (Transfermarkt).
And Nicholas suggested that the powerful winger will cause Arsenal some problems at the Emirates today, when writing his regular column for Sky Sports:
“West Ham will be a handful and Michail Antonio seems the best solution for them at present with his pace and power.”
When Antonio is on song, he is very hard to deal with. And he will surely cause the Gunners’ fragile back-line all sorts of problems today.
West Ham desperately need a result against Arsenal. And their hopes of achieving that will hinge heavily on the quality of the 29-year-old’s performance today.
