West Ham were unlucky to lose to Liverpool at Anfield last night. And some of the Hammers players took to Twitter after the game in reaction to the defeat.
The east London outfit took on the table-topping Reds last night, and before the game, nobody gave them a chance.
Liverpool are unbeaten in the league at Anfield since April 2017, and West Ham had won only once away to the Merseyside outfit since 1963.
Everything was in Jurgen Klopp’s side’s favour.
And when Gini Wijnaldum put Liverpool 1-0 inside nine minutes, it seemed as though it was going to be a very long and hard night for West Ham.
But David Moyes’s men fought back, equalising almost immediately. They then took the lead early on in the second-half.
Unfortunately, they didn’t manage to hold on. But there were so many positives for the Hammers. Not least the fact that Moyes actually set his team up with some attacking intent.
And if West Ham play like that for the remainder of the campaign, they will surely be just fine.
