Angelo Ogbonna spoke exclusively to the Mirror, and named three West Ham players who he really respects, because they are all so humble.
The Hammers defender has been a fine servant for the club since moving to east London from Juventus for £8 million in the summer of 2015.
And he is a popular figure at the London Stadium.
The Italian is currently part of a very strong group of players at West Ham. And there seems to be a very good atmosphere and a feel-good factor emanating from the squad.
Ogbonna was speaking to the Mirror, and singled out three of his Hammers teammates for praise:
“We are blessed because we not only have good players but good people. Diop. Rice, Fredericks. Some players go out and they buy cars and spend money. These players are West Ham are humble with their feet on the ground.”
Humbleness is an extremely important characteristic for Premier League stars. And West Ham seem to have plenty of players who possess that quality.
The ability to keep your feet on the ground when you are earning astronomical amounts of money will always stand you in good stead.
And West Ham seem to have plenty of those types of characters at the club.
This season could be an extremely exciting one for the Hammers. And if Pellegrini’s men remain grounded, they are well capable of finishing inside the top six.
