It’s nice to be writing something positive about West Ham for the first time in a while. The game at Cardiff gave the fans what they wanted to see, the players showing some passion and fight. Of course no one is saying one game will change everything but I’m hopefully that the performance will give us the boost we need to go on and try and climb the table because we have an extremely good run of games coming up and can get points out of most of them.

A few players in particular really impressed obvious choice Mark Noble, he was amazing, and getting involved playing in all different positions and just putting in all the hard work and passion that we expect.

I was so pleased for Adrian to get his clean sheet because the last two games haven’t done him justice at all and the game showed what a top class keeper he is because he had to make some spectacular saves in the second half. He has been the one player that has continued to show passion in the face of adversity that the team have had and it looked like he has shown the rest of the team how to show some passion.

Final word has to go to Kevin Nolan and I know he didn’t play and has upset a lot of fans in recent weeks but we saw a lot of passion from him, shouting to the players at times during the game. His celebration when we scored the second goal and the video west ham put up after of him greeting all the players as they came back into the dressing room showed such a united front and exactly what fans wanted to see. When he comes back and alongside Andy Carroll I expect him to be back to his best and leading by example.
