West Ham looked a lot better against Bournemouth in the first-half than they have done in recent weeks and months, but some Hammers still took time to criticise Sebastien Haller’s display.

The 25-year-old joined West Ham from Eintracht Frankfurt  in the summer for around £45 million. But he has really struggled to establish himself at the London Stadium.

Haller has scored just six goals in 20 appearances for the Hammers.

The Frenchman cannot be criticised for his excellent first-half strike against the Cherries, however.

Haller proved what he can do when given the right kind of service. The 6ft 3in hitman clearly has real potential. He just needs to work harder and the goals will undoubtedly come. As he proved today.

If he gets more support, and continues to work hard, he should still come good for the Hammers.

Some West Ham fans were still not impressed with the Frenchman’s overall performance, however…
