West Ham return to Vicarage Road hoping for similar success to last season. The Hammers won 4-1 at Watford last season and will be hoping to record their first win of the season. Watford, on the other hand, have not picked up a point this season.
But the Hornets still have a good record against West Ham. And Javi Gracia’s men have some players that can hurt the Irons. Here are three Watford players that West Ham should be wary of this weekend.
Craig Dawson

Watford signed Craig Dawson in the summer to shore up their defence. The 29-year-old is an experienced and versatile defender who will be tasked with keeping West Ham’s attack quiet.
Dawson will also provide a threat from set-pieces. The 6ft 2in defender is an aerial threat and has scored just under 50 goals in his career – a strong return for a defender.
Abdoulaye Doucoure

Watford’s midfield engine is Abdoulaye Doucoure. The Frenchman is a box-to-box central midfielder who contributes heavily with both his defensive work and his attacking menace.
The 26-year-old has scored 13 and assisted 10 in just over 100 games for Watford. It is no surprise to see clubs like PSG interested in him so West Ham must be aware of his ability.
Gerard Deulofeu

Gerard Deulofeu is one of those players who always seems to cause problems for West Ham. The diminutive but speedy and skilful winger has an impressive goalscoring record against the Irons.
The 25-year-old will operate on the wing and try to target Ryan Fredericks or Arthur Masuaku. West Ham cannot afford to give him the time and space to make an impact.
