West Ham United were soundly beaten by Manchester City on Saturday afternoon, and Julen Lopetegui is now clinging onto his job for dear life.
Julen Lopetegui has proven to be completely inept since taking over at West Ham back in the summer.
Incredibly though, the Hammers board are apparently still prepared to give the Spaniard more time to prove himself.
That’s an utter joke in itself.
West Ham have been so incredibly poor this season. Our performances have been awful on the whole, and the results just as bad.

Lopetegui is quite clearly clueless regarding how to turn things around.
And there’s something else he has been doing this season that highlights his complete ineptitude in my opinion.
Incident during Man City vs West Ham proves Julen Lopetegui has lost the plot
The Hammers looked dangerous at times going forward, but we were completely toothless in front of goal.
As per usual, our defending was absolutely atrocious, and the players folded once again after going two goals down.
However, it must be said that things could have been very different, had the referee not made a really poor call inside the first-half.
That said, Lopetegui’s reaction was simply not acceptable in my eyes.

When Michael Salisbury blew his whistle in the 23rd minute after he adjudged Crysencio Summerville to have fouled Manuel Akanji, Lopetegui went absolutely ballistic on the touchline.
The referee showed Lopetegui a yellow card – his FIFTH of the season so far!
He has already served a one-game touchline ban after picking up three yellow cards earlier on in the campaign.
And now he faces a two-game ban, if he picks up three more yellows at any point in the season.
Now, I’m not saying that it was the correct decision to award Man City a free-kick on Saturday when Summerville was racing through on goal.
However, Lopetegui has to do better at controlling his emotions on the sidelines.
It’s not a good look and it cannot be very inspiring for his players to see him losing his cool time and time again on the side of the pitch.
In my opinion, Julen Lopetegui’s touchline behaviour is a sure sign that the West Ham head coach is losing his composure due to the mounting pressure on his shoulders.
He needs to buck up his ideas quickly if he is to remain in charge at the London Stadium beyond the end of the month.
