A number of West Ham fans are calling for Declan Rice to be rewarded with a new deal after another great performance.

Rice vs. Chelsea

Rice was a standout performer today, excelling in a holding midfield role against Chelsea.

The 19-year-old was up against the club that released him as a 14-year-old. But despite his young age and history with Chelsea, he played magnificently.

The 3-cap Republic of Ireland international shackled the likes of Eden Hazard, Ngolo Kante and Mateo Kovacic.

New deal?

Rice’s good performances have prompted West Ham fans to discuss his current contract.

West Ham and the talented teenager are currently at an impasse in negotiations. But the Hammers fans are desperate to see their academy product sign on the dotted line.
