Nathan Trott made his professional debut at the weekend, helping AFC Wimbledon to a draw. The young goalkeeper, who is on loan from West Ham, produced some fine saves and earned rave reviews from Wimbledon fans.
The Wombles signed Trott on loan from West Ham in the summer and he featured heavily in pre-season. But he suffered an injury prior to the opening game, meaning Wimbledon had to use Nik Tzanev instead.
For the third league game of the season, Trott was selected ahead of Tzanev. He played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw at home to Accrington Stanley. Wimbledon blew their one-goal lead despite Accrington going down to 10 men.
Nathan Trott stars on debut

Trott has come through the ranks at West Ham and is very highly rated. The Bermuda-born stopper, who plays for England U20s, signed a long-term deal last summer but has been sent out on loan to gain valuable experience.
Former West Ham coach Wally Downes – who is now Wimbledon manager – gave Trott the chance to join the Southwest London club. Here are some tweets from Wimbledon fans discussing the 20-year-old’s debut.
