West Ham’s four-match unbeaten run came to an end as they fell to a 2-0 home defeat against Watford.

Goals from Troy Deeney and Gerard Deulofeu wrapped up the three points for the visitors, ensuring West Ham will be 12th at Christmas.

But there was a personal milestone for Declan Rice, which meant that the game was not a total disappointment.

West Ham teenager Rice played his 50th senior game for the club, despite his young age.

The 19-year-old, who celebrates his 20th birthday next month, has been a permanent fixture in West Ham’s midfield this season.

Operating in the holding role, Rice provides protection for the back four and starts attacks with a range of passing.

The youngster is a firm fan favourite at The London Stadium and West Ham fans have been pleading with the board to tie him down to a new deal.

And that is not the only difficult decision facing Rice, with England and the Republic of Ireland ready to scrap it out for his international services.

But yesterday was a celebration for him and below are West Ham fans congratulating Rice on his achievement.
