West Ham United Women followed the men’s win with a victory of their own.
After the men beat Manchester United, the ladies claimed their first win in the Women’s Super League.
The women’s team beat Yeovil Town 2-1, with goals for Leanne Kiernan and Rosie Kmita.
The match

With the game heading towards a 0-0 draw, substitute Kiernan fired West Ham ahead on 67 minutes.
The Republic of Ireland international, who joined in the summer, lashed home from a corner to give West Ham the lead.
But Yeovil hit back soon after, levelling the scores after 78 minutes.
However, West Ham were back ahead one minute later after Kmita raced through on goal and volleyed a fine left-footed shot into the bottom corner.
It was a first ever Women’s Super League victory for the Irons, who only joined the league this season.
The three points lifted West Ham’s women to 7th place after three games, with one win, one loss and one draw.
This capped a fine weekend to be a Hammers fan. Both teams picked up maximum points to bolster their league positions. Here are some West Ham fans’ reactions to this score line.
