West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini returned from a lengthy lay-off in Friday night’s clash with Fulham.
It was Lanzini’s first appearance of the season and it had been highly anticipated by the West Ham faithful.
When the Argentina international was introduced as a 75th minute substitution in place of Felipe Anderson, The London Stadium erupted with noise.
The East Londoners ensured that Lanzini knew how much he had been missed by the club during his seven month absence.

Lanzini suffered an unfortunate ACL injury just before the start of the World Cup, where he was expected to play a key role alongside the likes of Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi.
The 26-year-old’s knee injury initially looked like it would rule him out of the entire 2018/19 season so fans were delighted that he was ahead of schedule.
Lanzini is a fan favourite at West Ham, thanks to his exciting performances in midfield. And West Ham fans gave him a rapturous reception upon his return to action.
Here are some things West Ham fans said on social media after Lanzini came on as a substitute.
