Manuel Pellegrini is odds on for the sack but West Ham United will finish seventh this season.
That’s according to new data from Ladbrokes which has revealed the final Premier League table based on bets placed.
Pellegrini has made a disastrous start to life at West Ham with four defeats from his first four league games.
The Hammers are bottom of the fledgling table with zero points.
And they are the only club in the country to be pointless.
Hope for West Ham? Don’t bet on it
Supporters and pundits have voiced concerns over a lack of fight and tactical awareness from the Hammers, particularly in home defeats to Bournemouth and Wolves.
While there are still 34 games to go, many feel West Ham could be relegated unless they act now.
But there is hope for the Hammers from the football fraternity in the shape of betting punters.
According to data from Ladbrokes West Ham will turn things around and finish a remarkable seventh this season based on the most popular picks with punters since the first ball was kicked this term.
Liverpool lead the way as best backed club for the title and the rest of the top six are made up of the usual suspects.
West Ham will be knocking on the door for a European spot in seventh according to the punters leaving Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Southampton to be relegated.
Seventh heaven? Not totally out of the question
Despite many pundits pointing out Pellegrini has never faced this kind of situation before, the Chilean actually had a similar experience at Malaga.
The club was struggling when he took over but he turned things around and finished 11th.
The next season he led the Spanish side to an historic fourth place finish and a spot in the Champions League.
Of course thoughts of the Champions League are a highly unlikely scenario for West Ham in the fiercely competitive Premier League.
But there is plenty of hope that he will be able to turn things around in East London.
West Ham finished seventh in their farewell season at Upton Park, just four points off the Champions League places.
That season they lost just eight games but drew a joint league-highest 14 games.
