West Ham could do with another striker, and Roma hitman Edin Dzeko might just be the ideal option for them.
Manuel Pellegrini has already brought in Sebastien Haller for £45 million from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Hammers have got rid of Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll, however, leaving Javier Hernandez as their only other established centre-forward.
And Roma front-man Dzeko would provide great competition for the Frenchman and the Mexican.
Experience
At 33, the Bosnian is vastly experienced in playing at the very highest level for a prolonged period of time.
He won two Premier League titles during his time with Manchester City. And a Bundesliga title with Wolfsburg.
This kind of winning mentality could prove to be a real asset for West Ham
Great goal record
Dzeko has bagged an impressive 316 goals in 659 career appearances for club and country.
The Roma ace is a clinical striker who can also act as a target man, what with his strength in the air, and he would provide Pellegrini with another top quality option in attack.
Availability and price
According to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, the 33-year-old is available for just €20 million (£18 million) this summer.
And in today’s market, that would represent a real bargain for the Hammers.
If West Ham can get a deal for one more striker over the line, especially a player of Dzeko’s ilk, they will have a great chance of finishing inside the top seven.
And Pellegrini must do all that he can to bring the Roma man to the London Stadium this summer.
