Marca have claimed that Real Madrid are ready to loan out Luka Jovic this summer. And West Ham quite simply cannot miss out on the chance to reunite the Serbia international with Sebastien Haller.
In other news…Arsenal allegedly pursuing blockbuster £40m transfer could be great news for West Ham
Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign another centre-forward before the transfer window closes next month.
The problem is that funds are tight, however. The £30 million budget Moyes supposedly has at his disposal (The Athletic’s David Ornstein) should really be put into strengthening his defence.
So signing a striker on loan this summer could be the way forward.
And Luka Jovic’s reported availability represents West Ham with a truly unmissable opportunity.
Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is allegedly prepared to send the 22-year-old out on loan from the Santiago Bernabeu (Marca).
And what a sensational addition Jovic would be for the Hammers.
The Serbia international joined Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019 for around £55 million (AS).
Deadly duo
At the same time, Sebastien Haller left the Bundesliga club for the Hammers for around £45 million (BBC).
The duo forged a wonderful partnership during their time together in Frankfurt.
In 89 combined appearances, Jovic and Haller racked up a very impressive 47 goals and 19 assists between them.
The Frenchman and the Serbian clearly have a wonderful understanding of the way in which each other play.
And if West Ham brought Jovic to the London Stadium on loan, the two players could recreate that incredible partnership.
It seems like a no-brainer for David Moyes. Jovic will want to play more regularly and the opportunity to move to London and play alongside his old teammate may prove to be an appealing one for him.
Make it happen Dave!
