There is no love lost between West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur but it appears the rivals could be on course to clash in the first game at the new Spurs stadium.
Tottenham fans were quick to mock West Ham over their move to the London Stadium.
In fairness a large section of West Ham’s own fans were not happy with the move.

Fans exchanging stadium jibes
But Tottenham and other rival fans have tormented them ever since.
The tables turned somewhat recently when West Ham got permission to eventually raise their capacity to 66,000.
That is some 4,000 more than Tottenham’s new ground and makes the London Stadium the second biggest in the Premier League.

Delays pave way for Hammers clash?
Embarrassing delays to the new stadium at White Hart Lane have also given Hammers fans them plenty of ammunition.
According to a new report from Sky Sports, though, the clubs could well clash in the long-awaited first ever game at Tottenham’s impressive new home.
Tottenham are unable to open their new stadium until at least April after Crystal Palace progressed in the FA Cup.
After the north London derby against Arsenal was ruled out, the Premier League match against Palace on March 17 was Spurs’ next target for their first game inside the new 62,062-seater ground.

April 27th a landmark day?
But the club announced the fixture will have to be rearranged after Palace beat Doncaster to make the last eight. That game will now be played March 16/17. As a result the first available dates are April.
Many predict the volume of work still to be done in and around the ground mean mid to late April is the most likely opening date.
Huddersfield visit Tottenham on April 13 and then it is West Ham on April 27.
If that is the first game, the Hammers will hope to keep up their stadium spoiling record in North London.
West Ham were the first away team to beat Tottenham’s bitter rivals Arsenal at The Emirates.
