A reliable West Ham United insider has made an interesting claim about the future of Manuel Pellegrini.

The Chilean is a firm favourite with West Ham fans for the fantastic strides the club has made since his appointment last summer.

In that short time Pellegrini – with the help of director of football Mario Husillos – has brought in top class players.

Just as importantly he has cleared a lot of deadwood.

Project Pellegrini a resounding success so far

But perhaps most crucially he has given West Ham an identity and style again. That in turn has improved performances and results on the pitch, particularly at home.

West Ham have the best home record outside the top six since Pellegrini’s arrival in East London.

The job Pellegrini did last season saw the likes of Barcelona, and less-threateningly Sevilla, linked with his services in the summer (The Daily Mail).

It is safe to say Hammers fans want the former Manchester City and Real Madrid boss to stick around for some time yet.

West Ham insider makes reassuring claim

And they will get their wish if reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee is anything to go by.

Some supporters have suggested that new Huddersfield management duo – and big lifelong West Ham fans – Danny and Nicky Cowley could be lined up for the Hammers hotseat if they do well with the Terriers.

But ExWHUemployee insists Pellegrini will see out the fine job he is doing at the London Stadium.

“Well if they do well at Huddersfield they will have to be (in the pipeline) I reckon,” ExWHUemployee said on Twitter.

“Think we will have Pellegrini for a few years yet though.

“As been saying for a while now, these managers are going places! Be interesting to see how they do at Huddersfield.”

The grand plan?

That will be music to the ears of West Ham fans.

Not only does Pellegrini look set to be around for some time yet.

But West Ham also have one of the most promising young, emerging managerial units on their radar too.

In an ideal world Pellegrini will continue his impressive rebuilding of the Hammers in the years to come.

And when the time comes for him to depart, the Cowley brothers will have proved beyond doubt they are up to what would surely be their dream job.
