Kurt Zouma embraced Issa Diop after West Ham beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford last night.

The 24-year-old centre-back was absolutely immense for the Hammers against Manchester United.
Diop looked like a superb signing when he joined West Ham from Toulouse in the summer of 2018.
He regressed badly over the past two years, however. His concentration levels and positioning have been called into question.

Diop seemed to come of age last night though.

Many predicted that Diop would become a better all-round defender after Zouma was brought to the London Stadium by David Moyes.
Learning from the France international in training will undoubtedly be incredibly beneficial for the 24-year-old. And it seems as though Kurt is already rubbing off on his West Ham teammate.

Diop was sensational against Man United last night.
And his teammate Zouma was clearly delighted for him. The former Chelsea man ran onto the pitch and hugged Diop in what was a deep embrace.
It really was great to see and highlights once again the close bond the players at the London Stadium share with one another.

Hopefully the only way is up for Diop now. And Zouma deserves huge credit for helping out the 24-year-old Hammers ace both on and off the pitch.
