The Hammers and the Blues might just be in the market for another talented winger this summer.
Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko both face uncertain futures at the London Stadium (Claret and Hugh). Whilst Willian could be set to leave Stamford Bridge in a free transfer (Metro). And in truth, the west London outfit still haven’t replaced Eden Hazard.
Even if Chelsea end up signing Timo Werner, there could still be room for another wide-man in west London.
David Moyes and Frank Lampard could be set for a real battle for talented Brentford ace Said Benrahma this summer, according to Foot Mercato.
The 24-year-old Algerian ace seems to be ready to make the jump up to the Premier League.
Stats
Benrahma has been absolutely on fire for Brentford this season. He has racked up 10 goals and eight assists in 34 Championship appearances for the west London outfit (Transfermarkt).
In those outings, the Algerian has averaged 3.7 shots, 2.2 key passes and 3.1 dribbles per game (Who Scored).
TEAMtalk claimed earlier this year that the Bees could sell the talented star for around £30 million.
That fee might just drop, however, considering the current financial climate.
Benrahma really would be an exceptional signing for West Ham. But some Hammers fans believe that he could be off to Chelsea this summer…
