Football.London have claimed that West Ham could be looking to sell Fabian Balbuena this summer, and some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The 28-year-old, who earns £40,000 per week (Spotrac) joined the Hammers from Brazilian side Corinthians in the summer of 2018 for around £3.5 million (Evening Standard).

He actually impressed during his debut campaign in east London. But his performance levels have dropped dramatically this term.

Balbuena lacks any kind of pace and he is terrible when in possession of the football. He has been an attacker’s dream to play against so far this season.

The Paraguayan seems to be a complete shadow of his former self.


The centre-back has made 13 Premier League appearances for the Hammers this season. He has made just 16 tackles, with a success rate of 69%. Balbuena has made only 25 interceptions and has made two errors leading to goals for the opposition (

And Football.London claims that David Moyes is very concerned with Balbuena’s fall from grace this season. The Scot allegedly could be tempted to sell the 28-year-old, as long as he finds a replacement for him.
