West Ham were beaten convincingly by Wolves at Molineux last night.
The manner of the Hammers’ defeat was particularly difficult to stomach for the club’s fans.
They never looked like scoring and it was a tepid display all around from pretty much every player on the pitch.
Manuel Pellegrini once again looked lost and bereft of ideas on the touchline.
The Chilean spoke to reporters after the game and suggested that it is more important for his side to win home games, as quoted by Football.London:
“I feel that playing at Wolverhampton and Chelsea, if you draw both games then you are happy but we have three points. Of course we wanted to win two games in a row but we couldn’t. I think it is more important to win our home games.”
The West Ham manager’s comments really are baffling, considering the Hammers have not won a game at home since September 22nd.
He really does seem like somebody who is very close to losing their job. You just don’t make comments like that, after thousands of West Ham fans had just made the journey from east London to the Midlands.
