Paolo Di Canio was and still is an absolute legend at West Ham.
The Italian joined the Hammers from Sheffield Wednesday in 1999 for around £1.75 million.

Eyebrows were raised when the enigmatic striker moved to east London, considering the disciplinary problems he had at Hillsborough.
But the doubters were quickly silenced.
Di Canio instantly endeared himself to the West Ham fans with his incredible talent, skill and passion for the club.
The now 51-year-old racked up 51 goals and 14 assists in 135 games for the Hammers (Transfermarkt).
It could actually be argued that it is impossible for West Ham fans to love the Italian any more than they already do.
Until now that is.

The former Lazio and Wednesday forward will undoubtedly go down in history as one of West Ham’s greatest, most popular players of all-time.
