We clearly have massive issues at left-back. Aaron Cresswell hasn’t produced the goods for the last two seasons and the 30-year-old has regressed badly over the past 12 months.
It will be vital for David Moyes to upgrade on the Liverpool-born Hammer before the transfer window slams shut.
And the Athletic’s David Ornstein claims that Arsenal ace Sead Kolasinac could be the man for the job.
Stats
Kolasinac, who earns £100k-a-week (Spotrac), is a very attacking full-back by trade. He boasts impressive pace, and has a great knack of timing his overlapping runs to perfection.
The 27-year-old racked up two assists in 26 Premier League games for Arsenal last season (Who Scored).
In those appearances, he averaged 1.1 tackles, 1.1 interceptions, and 1.3 clearances.
Kolasinac has racked up 15 assists in 105 games for the Gunners (Transfermarkt). His attacking prowess is obvious, but he is found wanting defensively fairly regularly.
So it is debatable as to whether he would be a wise signing for West Ham.
